FREE CROCHET PATTERN: Napa Valley Throw
I’m headed to Napa Valley for a work trip in a few weeks and I thought this was the perfect time to post this beginner friendly crochet pattern. You can purchase a PDF version on Etsy.
This throw is perfect to make cuddle up & take a nap under the valleys of textured rows of the Napa Valley Throw. Reversible pattern so that either side has gorgeous texture. Grab a glass of wine if you’d like and let’s get started!
Measures 60” x 30” with 6” fringe.
Made with Super Bulky 6 yarn.
Napa Valley Throw

9 skeins Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick or equivalent weight 6 yarn.
Hook: US Size N for body, size L for fringe
Stitch markers, as needed
60” x 30”
blo back loop only
hdc half double crochet st(s) stitch(es)
sl st slip stitch
Row 1: Hdc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across. ch 1, turn (148) Row 2-4: Working in blo, sl st in each st across. ch 1, turn (148)
Row 5: Working in the blo, hdc in the first st and in each st across. ch 1, turn (148) Repeat rows 2-77 or until desired width. Should measure 30” wide.
Fasten off. Do not weave in ends.
Cut 84 14” lengths of yarn. Working on right side. Placement 2: Insert L hook in loop of first hdc (in first and last tassel, include tail from beginning/end of throw). Placement 2: Hook in the turning chain of sl stitch row (from back to front) Fold two 14” lengths in half. Wrap around hook. Pull through loop. Yarn over using both strands and pull through loop. Tighten. Repeat Placement 1 & 2 online side. 42 tassels per side.
Repeat on opposite side from * to*.
