FREE CROCHET PATTERN: Mini Evergreen Trees

Tis the season to get a head start on your holiday decor making! These mini evergreen trees work up quickly and you can match any theme by swapping colors. A Bit Unraveled Design

Materials

Suggested yarn: Yarn Bee Rustic Romance (weight 4)
Champagne corks Polyfill
Hook: US 4.0 mm (G). Darning needle
Stitch markers, as needed
Finished size:
4” tall (non-stuffed) 5” tall (with stuffing)

Pattern

Begin with a magic circle.
Row 1: ch 1, work 6 hdc in circle, join to 1st stitch with sl st
(6 sts). Don’t forget to tighten the circle.
Row 2: ch 1, hdc around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (6 sts).
Row 3: ch 1, [work 2 hdc in st, hdc in next st] around, join
to 1st stitch with sl st (9 sts).
Row 4: ch 1, hdc around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (9 sts)
Row 5: ch1, [work 2 hdc in st, hdc in next two sts] around,
join to 1st stitch with sl st (12 sts).
Row 6: ch 1, hdc around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (12 sts)
Row 7: ch1, [work 2 hdc in st, hdc in next three sts]
around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (15 sts).
Row 8: ch 1, hdc around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (15 sts)
Row 9: ch1, [work 2 hdc in st, hdc in next four sts] around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (18 sts). Row 10: ch 1, hdc around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (18 sts)
Row 11: ch1, [work 2 hdc in st, hdc in next five sts] around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (21 sts). Row 12: ch 1, hdc around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (21 sts)
Row 13: ch1, [work 2 hdc in st, hdc in next six sts] around, join to 1st stitch with sl st (24 sts).

Finish off. weave in ends.

Assembly: fill tree shell with polyfill (or skip filling if loose, shorter look is desired). Using hot glue gun, place around top of champagne cork. Keep tree open wide and place around cork as desired position. Pat along glue area to secure.
