Back panel
- I chose to create a solid backing for this pillow, you could choose to mirror flag design by repeating front panel while making sure to keep your color changes on the right side (as you will use the wrong side as the facing design & mirror to the front)
Solid back panel:
With Color A ch 54
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook, sc across (53)
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout) skip first sc, 3-dc puff st in next sc, *ch 1, skip next sc, 3-dc puff st in next sc; rep from * across to last sc, dc in last sc, turn.
Row 3: ch 1, sc in first dc, sc in next puff st, *sc in next ch-1 space, sc in next puff st; rep from * across to turning ch, sc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: Repeat row 3.
Row 16- 25: repeat row 2-3.
Row 26: Repeat row 2. Do not fasten off.
Weave in yarn ends (if you have not already, being sure to keep on back side of panel.
Pillow attachment:
Line up panels- with current work at top right corner of the flag.
Working down, sc evenly in each row around pillow, joining panels **Tip: work 2 sc in dc, 1 sc in sc of row** (work 3 sc in corners).
***Tip: to begin using Color C (to avoid different color border around blue section) & change colors once working down second half of flag and around.
Before finishing sc stitches along top row, Insert pillow insert between panels from the top of the pillow. Work sc stitches to finish. Fasten off and weave in ends.
